teaser
the wrong pipe (2025) is a different kind of mob movie.
instead of the usual tragic tales you find in the genre, I wanted to write a farce. THe narrative follows Ace fortunato, a paranoid, racist gangster who goes into a nj diner looking for a good meal but the waiter, chris martinez, drugs his food with an acid-laced sriracha.

directors statement.
It was a crisp midnight in july. i had just seen hitchcock’s vertigo at the lafayette theater. i hit the highway and drove to a local diner. the streets were dead and when i walked inside, it was even more dead. it was like i was stepping into a liminal space. i ordered the chicken gyro and it was probably one of the worst meals i’ve ever had. when i was ready for the check, the overly-nice waiter told me that next time, I should try it with the sriracha because that’s how he likes it.
this encounter inspired my film but it’s also inspired by the notion that nothing good happens after midnight. the wrong pipe is a comedy of errors but it also deals with more serious themes like ptsd, trauma, self-actualization, spirituality, and enlightenment. ace fortunato is a deeply nervous character who ends up becoming a better person by the end of the story.

My next project will be called HOOD. It is a car chase movie almost entirely shot on Go-Pro with zero dialogue. It follows Bill, a tired driver in a rush to get home, as he is chased down by a mysterious person in a mask, Hood, after cutting them off on the highway. It’s a more psychological take on a car chase as the horror stems from whether or not Hood is real. I’m influenced by Spielberg’s Duel, Burning (2018), and The Empire Strikes Back.
